Cleaning Questions
In this image the cord in the middle is the lift cord and the outside cords are the ladder cord.
If your tilt wand has detached from the blind it could be the wand itself that is broken or it could be the tilt mechanism that it attaches to that is broken (which is actually more common). Either way we can replace what is broken. Wands typically range from $9 to $18 depending on the material, style & size. Tilt mechanisms generally cost somewhere between $29 & $39 depending on the model & how common they are.
This usually indicates that the tilt mechanism is broken or worn out and needs to be replaced. The cost for us to replace it is usually between $29 & $39.
Sometimes there can be another problem in the headrail which we will need to diagnose.
In some cases, Yes. The cost is usually between $29 & $39.
In some cases this can be a simple fix that you can perform yourself but in other cases it could be the result of another problem that needs to be corrected before more damage is done.
This almost always means that the lift cords have worn through an internal part that is in turn pinching and binding the cord. Both the worn parts as well as the lift cords need to be replaced. The cost depends on the type and size of the blind and how many lift cords there are. Call us with that information & we can give you a rough estimate of the repair price.
This is usually caused by a broken or worn cord lock mechanism. We can generally replace it for about $34 - $44.
There are a few reasons why your slats could sag in the middle or hang down on one end. Sometimes there is a broken internal part but it could also be the result of a broken ladder cord. Our trained repair technicians can diagnose the problem & repair it (as long as parts are available).
You either have a broken lift cord or one of the lift cords has frayed and is catching on the slats. Either way it needs to be replaced. The cost depends on the type and size of the blind and how many lift cords there are. Call us with that information & we’ll quote the repair price.
Darn dog. I hate it when that happens But in many cases we can replace them with new ones. Give us a call & let's explore the possibilities. We’ll need to know the type of blind & it will be helpful if you can tell us the brand & the age of it also.
